DONCASTER UTC IS VISITED BY OFSTED.

After being only open two academic years, we are proud to announce that Doncaster UTC has been judged to be a GOOD school by Ofsted in September 2022.

Doncaster UTC Principal Garath Rawson says “our latest OFSTED report highlights the UTCs ambition to provide a outstanding education, emphasising the commitment of staff:  “Leaders’ vision is to provide pupils with exceptional experiences in education. Despite only being open since September 2020, they have made strong progress towards this ambition”.

The UTCs aim was to work with employers to create a knowledge curriculum that is supported by the development of skills and careers to create UTCs of the future. OFSTED acknowledge the UTCs first-class curriculum of which we are very proud.

“In addition to first-class careers advice and guidance, pupils have extensive opportunities to interact with local employers. Partner organisations come into the UTC regularly to speak to pupils. Pupils regularly see their areas of specialism in the workplace, through visits, as part of curriculum projects and on formal work experience placements”

We are pleased that our safeguarding procedures have been verified and I would like to take this opportunity to thank the UTC community for supporting us during the process.

Working together we will continue to deliver solid outcomes and a range of experiences for students.

“In addition to preparing pupils for their next steps in education, leaders provide extensive opportunities for pupils to encounter the world of work. The school’s offer in this regard is noteworthy.”
