The University of Sheffield is proud to have been an active founding supporter of the new Doncaster UTC project since 2015, helping to secure approvals and helping to shape the curriculum.

Through our global research in relevant areas such as aerospace, rail and advanced manufacturing, we know Doncaster's focus on raising aspiration and opportunity is vital for the future of its young people and the economy.

The Faculty of Engineering is one of the largest in the UK and has seven departments and three interdisciplinary programmes covering all the engineering disciplines. This year it is ranked number one for student satisfaction in the prestigious Russell Group.

The University of Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) is a world-class centre for research into advanced manufacturing technologies used in the aerospace, automotive, medical and other high-value manufacturing sectors. They have taken a national lead in new approaches to engineering education through their apprenticeship programme, working with companies to offer new routes onto degrees.

The University aims to provide access to specialist equipment and laboratories in the Faculty of Engineering and at the AMRC, to contribute to masterclasses and projects, and create interactions with our current students to inspire and support UTC students with their university study choices and career aspirations.
